Mother of Apostles Seminary is a non-profit institution under the management of The Catholic Diocese of Eldoret. The school was founded in 1967 with the sole aim of preparing young boys for the Major seminary and thus to priesthood. The school has since formed many (over 200) priests and Bishops, some of whom include; The late Bishop cornelius Korir of Eldoret diocese, Bishop Peter Kairu of Nyeri (Emeritus), Bishop Philip Anyolo of the Archdiocese of Nairobi, Bishop Obanyi of Kakamega and Bishop Michael Odiwa of Homabay. Currently, the school has a roll of over 400 boys, double stream per class. The school has always stood out in the diocese as the best Catholic School. It strives for excellence, on both academic and spiritual realms, although the latter cannot be measured
Those admitted to the seminary are students who qualified in their Primary national exams. They should be baptized catholics or in the process of being baptized.
